Season One
I know it's late (actually very very late) for the review of this series. But I really wanted to write about this one. So it's never too late to start something. Since we all are still waiting for season two I definitely can start writing for the first one.
Chapter One
When I first heard about this series I thought it was horror, like really "horror". But when I completed watching I find it very interesting and people who are afraid to watch horror movies, I advice them that you definitely must watch this.
This series is based on mainly five child characters, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and Eleven. The ghost part of this series is Demogorgon. The episode starts being interesting when Will disappears. And his mother Joyce launches an investigation to find his son. In whole episode police (Chief Hopper and his crew), Joyce and Will's friends keep looking for Will. We can also see some romance between Nancy(Mike's big sister) and her boyfriend Steve. A girl named Eleven with some supernatural power keeps running like she is being chased by someone. And this episode ends when she meets Will's friends at forest when they were looking for Will.
Chapter Two
In this episode boys(Mike, Dustin, Lucas) brings Eleven to Mike's house and they hide her from everyone. Joyce still believes that her son alive so she keeps looking for him including Jonathan(Will's big brother), chief Hopper and boys. At the middle of this chapter, boys come to know that Eleven has some supernatural power and they find possible to find Will with her help. This episode also revels about the secret government experiments. And Eleven was being forced to be part of that experiment by her own father who was head of that secret group. Joyce gets some vibes from light about his son(sounds like crazy like now).. Jonathan, standing far from the house takes some pictures of the party which was at Steve's house from his camera. And Barbara(Nancy's best friend) disappears at the end of this episode.
Chapter Three
Nancy gets worried since Barbara doesn't attend school for days. Joyce manages to light up her whole house with various light as she feels she can talk or communicate to her son through these light. But everybody thinks that she has gone mad. Police keeps their investigation on. Boys also keep looking for Will. In this episode we can also see that Eleven was forced to be experimented by the secret government group. She was forced to participate in those experiments without her will. Nancy including Steve and his friends catch Jonathan with the photos of that night and they tear them all. Nancy goes to Steve house where they had had party and she sees or feels something over there. Police finds Will's body at the pond and boys with Eleven see that too but they can't believe that.
Chapter Four
Will's family and his friends can't believe that Will is dead. They still believe that he is alive and on top of that Eleven makes sure that Will is alive. By using her power, through radio that boys use to talk to each other, they can hear what Will is talking. Boys take Eleven to Mr. Clarke's (school teacher) Heathkit ham shack for stronger radio so they can talk and find Will. Nancy talks to police about Barbara missing and through the photo that Jonathan clicked, Nancy sees something in that photo close to Barbara. The secret government group keeps their experiments on and do experiments to find or know about Demogorgon. Chief also don't believe about Will's death so he goes to check the dead body and he finds his body is totally fake.
Chapter Five
Chief somehow finds the secret government experiment place and goes there and there he is taken by some other people and when he gets his consciousness he finds himself in a cottage of nowhere. The funeral of Will is prepared. Nancy and Jonathan prepares to find that "something weird thing". Boys find something about upside down, so they go in search of gate but since that gate is the place where Eleven was being experimented, she doesn't want them to go near the gate so she use her power to manipulate the direction of compass boys were using. Because of Eleven Lucas get into fight with boys. Jonathan and Nancy go to forest at night with aim of killing that weird thing and Nancy gets inside a tree following the sound.
Chapter Six
Nancy and Jonathan see that weird thing at the forest and they somehow manage to escape from there. Chief and Joyce go to see Eleven(actually Jane) mother to ask about her daughter and to know about the relationship with Dr. Brenner so that they can know what Dr. Brenner is up to. But they don't find any information. Lucas goes alone to find the gate. And Mike and Dustin go to find Eleven since they left her after the fight.
Chapter Seven
Dr. Brenner find his daughter i.e. Eleven, so he chases her and boys take Eleven and they run. But chief get there where boys were hiding with Eleven and he gets them home. Since Eleven is the only way(having supernatural power) to find Will and Barbara, boys along with Nancy, Jonathan, Joyce and Chief get to work to manage to find Will by the help of Eleven. Eleven says she can find Will and Barbara in the bath so they create sensory deprivation tank. And by using her power Eleven finds that Barbara is dead and Will is still alive and he is scared and lost somewhere.
Chapter Eight
Joyce and Chief go to Hawkins Lab where experiment of that weird thing is done. Nancy and Jonathan sets a trap for that thing in Jonathan house and then they call that weird thing. Since that thing is sensitive to blood, they cut their hands and let their blood flow to call that thing. In mean time Steve comes there and after some time that thing comes and they all fight with that kill that one. Here at the other side, Eleven and the boys are hiding at the school from Dr. Brenner and his group and they are also attacked by that thing. Eleven uses her full power to destroy that thing but she gets disappeared after killing that thing. And at Hawkins Lab Joyce finds Will. He is taken to hospital and treated completely. But Will pukes a small insect type thing from his mouth that can be baby Demogorgon.
The end of this series is totally exciting and there are lots of secrets to come. I am desperately waiting for the second season to come soon.
